How To Have Some Fun In Poker!

men-playing-poker-at-home1

Playing poker is something that should be fun — to be honest, a lot of people do not have fun with poker, they take it too seriously.  In this blog, we are going to make sure that we teach you how to have fun with the game of poker.  One of the first things that you need to do is not take it so seriously.

When you just stop taking the game so seriously, I can promise that you will not only feel better about the game itself but you truly will have fun.  Just gather up your friends, sit them down and deal out the cards and I can assure you that you will have so much fun.

Also, using stupid things like candy or something to bet with is a fantastic idea to take the money factor out of the game of poker.

Tony G. is not always a nice guy, is he?

I enjoy Tony G. so much – but he’s not a nice guy, especially when he violates players like Ralph Perry… :D

Bingo

Play Online Bingo

Bingo YayThe game of Bingo has a very rich and colourful past, extending all the way into Europe’s Baroque period in the 17th Century. Played by the country’s most elite, the game looked more like the UK’s 90-ball version of the game, with 3 rows and 9 columns on each card. In the 1800s, the game took on a more educational role, as German players saw the value in using the game to teach young students the multiplication tables. Over time, more educational versions of the game appeared, as teachers and parents began using the game to teach children spelling and history. The game has now made the natural progression onto the Internet. Online bingo is fast becoming one of the most popular games played over the Internet.

It was only in the 20th Century that the game was introduced to the Western world. Edwin S Lowe, a toy salesman from New York, discovered Bingo in Jacksonville, Florida and could not believe what a large gathering this virtually unknown game had gathered. Upon returning to New York, Lowe recreated the game and began selling to his friends. The game was a hit, but as more people began playing, Lowe saw the need for more card combinations. He enlisted in the help of Columbia University Professor Carl Leffler, who devised 6000 new bingo card combinations and, it is rumoured, went insane shortly afterward.

Following this, it wasn’t long before the game of bingo earned the popular reputation it has today. Throughout the 20th Century, the number of players increased exponentially to 100 million players worldwide, a massive statistic that is largely attributed to the recent inception of online bingo. This digital version of the game had made Bingo more accessible to players around the world. It offered them the ability to play whenever and wherever they’d like, while handing out a wide range of benefits that were previously unavailable in land-based halls, such as cash bonuses and in-game chat rooms.

Play Money Games: Entertainment or Strategy?

play moneyPlay money poker games might seem like a waste of time. At best, they are just for fun, right? Well, sure. At heart, poker itself is just for fun, no matter what variation you happen to be playing at the time. Games are fun. That is the point. Of course, sometimes, that fun involves money.

In play money poker games, however, that is obviously not the case. After all, play money cannot be spent. It cannot be used for anything practical, you cannot buy anything with it. This is what mistakenly leads so many people to believe that these play money games are pointless except for their entertainment value.

The truth of the matter, however, is that you can use these games to hone your own skills without losing any money. You can be risky, try your hand at different bluffs and strategies, and never worry about completely depleting your bankroll.

Poker Strategy

The Benefits of Knowing Your Opponents

texas-holdem-poker-strategyEvery person is an individual, right? And every poker player is different as well — but still, they tend to fall into certain categories. Recognizing these categories and knowing the characteristics which create them can help you in your game, because you can anticipate what your opponents will do.

Take loose players, for instance. Some are merely loose, some are aggressive. In either case, these types of players tend to play fast and loose. It does not matter if they have terrible cars, they will so go hard. They will not fold for anything, they can be distracting, and the aggressive ones are supremely cocky.

Tight players are just that. The tight player will fold almost every hand, because he is usually waiting to get pocket rockets. Bluffing can lure them in quite easily. Intimidation makes them fold.

Aggressive tight players are very cocky as well. They wait for good hands and fold when they do not have them. Be careful with these players.
