The poker world will be all eyes on London as it hosts several big time poker events like the WPT, European Poker Tour and the WSOP Europe which will gather the best players of the game. Culminating the poker madness will be the British Poker Festival running through the end of September.
One event which will magnet a ton of poker followers will be the Poker in the Park which will be a 2-day event that will feature the poker greats, latest merchandise, and more poker tournaments. Organizers are expecting a crowd of around 20,000 for this event which will be held September 2 and 3. This will be opened by winner of EPT San Remo, Liv Boeree.
Former heavyweight boxing champ Evander Holyfield will grace the occasion to represent RealDealPoker.com. There will also be talks by Roland de Wolfe, Jamie Gold, David Ulliot, and Phil Laak about poker, poker tips, and poker strategies.
A poker dome was setup to house the round the clock Sit-n-Go poker tournaments. Another dome was constructed to accommodate more poker lovers and avoid the extremely long lines as experienced last year.
There was also the Strip Poker Championship last 21 September at Stringfellows. This was not for the voyeur in everyone but for a charitable cause.
